Doctors for Choice Malta is proud to be hosting this public lecture, open to all University of Malta students, to discuss the reality of abortion in Malta.
It is a topic surrounded by much misconception and misinformation, and seeing as it is currently gaining momentum in public discussions, we felt it was time to clear some things out, and answer a few questions.
The lecture will have three key speakers:
Dr Natalia Psaila, a general practitioner, will be speaking about the procedure of termination of pregnancy, and medical indications and statistics.
Dr Lara Dimitrijevic, a lawyer, will be outlining what exactly Maltese law states regarding the issue of terminations, and the involvement of human rights
Dr Andrea Dibben, social policy academic at UoM, will be giving insight as to the social effects of the blanket ban on abortion in Malta.
There will be time for questions from the audience at the end of the lecture. Should you wish to submit any questions beforehand, or have any inquiries, please email us on contact@doctorsforchoice.mt
